Preventative Maintenance Programs for Balers and Compactors
The West Seneca Welding preventative maintenance program has been extremely successful in reducing maintenance costs by insuring properly maintained equipment. It also helps eliminate emergency repair bills and costly equipment “down time”!
This program also provides a record to our client(s) that all safety and operational procedures are being adhered to and all safety mechanisms on the equipment are operating properly in accordance to ANSI Z245.5, The American National Standard for Equipment Technology and Operations for Waste and Recyclable Materials.
As Per ANSI Z245.5, the Employer is Responsible for the Following:

Providing a properly maintained baler that meets all applicable Safety Standards.
6.1.3 Inspection and Maintenance Program
Establishing a program of periodic and regular inspections/maintenance which incorporates the manufacturer recommendations of all balers to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment, and safeguards are in safe operating condition. The Employer shall maintain written records of these inspections and the maintenance work performed.
6.1.4 Adherence to Maintenance Program
Ensuring the proper cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining of the baler in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations. Employer’s who maintain their own equipment shall be
